"You need a cup of coffee."

The caller insisted...
     against my excuse.

I'd  had coffee..
     didn't need more.

My tendency was
     to stay home.

But as I say...
     he insisted.

So we coffeed
     more than a cup.

I knew all along
     it was a set-up.

I knew he knew
     that I knew.

We both knew
     what I needed.

Not coffee
     but coffee-time talk.

Blessed are those
     who insist.

Whether you want coffee
     or not.

Her light went out
     in mid-rehearsal
     for candle-light services.

"Shoot!"
     (actual expletive
     translated!)

"What will I do
     if my light goes out
     in the real service?"

I promised her
     we'd all be with her
     in the darkness.

And I offered to bet
     that a dozen light
     would offer a new start.

Would you believe...
     that's what happened
     in the live event?

Lights often go out
     at just the wrong time
     leaving frantic darkness.

But wonder of wonders
     in our darkness moments
     others light us again!
