It was a noon-time rally
    to protest U.S. involvement
    in yet another country.

An orderly event
    marked by a number of folks
    sharing thoughts

Until
    the "Christians" showed up!

With visible anger
    irrational shouting
    puling out mike cords
    the "Christians" militantly
    interpreted any talk of
    doubting, questioning,
    debating of government
    policy and practice as
    – "God-less"
    – "un-patriotic"
    – "un-christian"
    – "leftist."

Someone really needs to study
    why radical religion
    is so militaristic.

"Praise the Lord and pass the
    ammunition" religion
    is alive and flourishing.

How can we help people get
    enough religion to be human
    but not so much
    as to make them demons?

"How many times must a man look up
 Before he can see the sky?
 How many ears must one man have
 Before he can hear people cry?
 How many deaths will it take
        till he knows
 That too many people have died?
 The answer my friend, is blowing
        in the wind.
 The answer is blowing
        in the wind."
